On June 12th, 2025, the URWAN Catalogue of Nature-based Solutions was presented during the online training session “Nature at work: Driving NbS for a cooler, water-smart and more resilient Europe”, organized by FEDARENE – the European Federation of Agencies and Regions for Energy and Environment in the framework of the REGILIENCE project. The event gathered around 40 participants from across Europe, offering a rich exchange of insights and experiences on climate adaptation through Nature-based Solutions (NbS).
Giulio Conte and Ilaria Principi from IRIDRA presented the URWAN Catalogue, highlighting the essential connection between NbS and sustainable water management. Their contribution also sparked a stimulating discussion during the panel session, underlining the relevance of integrated, water-smart approaches in urban resilience planning.
This session represented a meaningful opportunity for synergy between REGILIENCE and URWAN. Both projects share a strong commitment to accelerating regional climate resilience, promoting innovative tools and solutions to support the EU Green Deal and the adaptation needs of local communities.
