From December 3rd to 4th, URWAN project organises the first Training session and the first Living Lab. These events are a crucial opportunity for collaboration, learning, and advancing our mission of sustainable urban regeneration.
The URWAN meeting provides a unique opportunity to explore and deepen understanding of Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) as a tool for sustainable urban regeneration. Through training sessions and an interactive Living Lab, participants will gain new skills, engage with industry experts, and contribute to identifying practical solutions to overcome the barriers that often hinder NbS implementation. The participation of municipal technical staff and interested parties of Associated partners is essential to facilitate the direct application of these solutions in local contexts and to encourage a fruitful exchange of experiences and expertise at the international level.
From training sessions to practical group workshops, participants will have the opportunity to design and plan specific NbS, addressing real-world challenges and developing strategies for effective and sustainable land management.
These initiatives serve as a vital platform for dialogue, collaboration, and learning among various stakeholders involved in urban planning and management. The goal is to foster creativity and promote interdisciplinary collaboration, essential elements for tackling the complexities of urban regeneration.
It’s dedicated to municipal staff (technicians and policymakers) and professionals and practitioners (engineers, landscape architects, architects, geologists, agronomists, etc.) involved in the city’s urban planning / green spaces / water management / Nature-Based Solutions / Climate change / etc.
