The first online training webinar organised within the URWAN project was successfully held on 5 March 2026, bringing together public administration staff, urban practitioners and professionals interested in Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for sustainable urban development.
The session, titled “Nature-based Solutions for Public Administration – Strategies, opportunities and practical examples to integrate NbS into urban areas”, was delivered by Dr. Arianna Latini (ENEA) and focused on the role that NbS can play in addressing urban challenges such as climate change adaptation, urban heat, biodiversity loss and the improvement of urban quality of life.
Participants explored key concepts, implementation strategies and practical cases, highlighting how NbS can help cities become more resilient, inclusive and environmentally sustainable.

It is still possible to register free of charge for the second and final training session of the URWAN webinar series, which will focus on policy and regulatory instruments supporting the implementation of Nature-based Solutions in cities.
