Join the Final URWAN Webinar: discover the URWAN Enabler Pack and the Pilot Investment in Rome

26/06/2026

As the URWAN project, funded by the Interreg Euro-MED Green Living Areas Programme, enters its final stage, project partners invite municipalities, practitioners, policymakers and all stakeholders interested in Nature-based Solutions (NbS) to participate in the final URWAN webinar.

The event will present the project’s main transferable outcome: the URWAN Enabler Pack, a practical toolkit designed to support local and regional authorities in planning, co-designing and implementing urban Nature-based Solutions, with a particular focus on sustainable water management.

During the webinar, participants will discover the four tools included in the Enabler Pack, including the URWAN Checklist, an online decision-support tool that will be demonstrated through the co-design process developed in collaboration with the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo.

A dedicated session will also showcase the URWAN pilot investment implemented in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, illustrating how Nature-based Solutions have been successfully applied in a real urban context to improve climate resilience, water management and the quality of public spaces through a participatory approach.

The webinar is primarily addressed to Mediterranean municipalities, including members of the MedCities Working Group on Greener and Climate Resilient Cities, but it is also open to researchers, practitioners, public authorities and anyone interested in innovative approaches to urban sustainability and climate adaptation.
