On 10 April 2026, a training session on “Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) for Urban Regeneration and Climate Adaptation” was held in Cuba, bringing together political and technical representatives from different areas, including urbanism, environment, water, sanitation, urban planning, and communication.
Throughout the day, participants worked together to reflect on and develop concrete solutions for more resilient, sustainable cities prepared to address climate challenges.
Integrated into the URWAN – Urban Regenerative Water Avant-garde(N) initiative, the training focused on water management, climate adaptation, and the valorisation of public space, promoting innovative approaches aligned with the New European Bauhaus.
Through moments of knowledge sharing, practical examples, and visits to the pilot building, the session highlighted the role of Nature-Based Solutions as practical approaches for addressing current urban and climate challenges.
The action provided an opportunity for learning, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among the participants and organizations involved in the URWAN initiative.
